I Can See Clearly Now

The story goes, a lady said My husband, Michael, and I were at a restaurant with his boss, a rather stern older man.

When Michael began a tale, which I was sure he had told before, I gave him a kick under the table. There was no response, so I gave him another poke. Still the story went on.

Suddenly he stopped, grinned and said, “Oh, but I’ve told you this one before, haven’t I?” We all chuckled and changed the subject.

Later, on the dance floor, I asked my husband why it had taken him so long to get my message. “What do you mean?” he replied. “I cut the story off as soon as you kicked me.”

“But I kicked you twice and it still took you awhile to stop!”

Suddenly we realized what had happened. Sheepishly we returned to our table.

The boss smiled and said, “Don’t worry. After the second one I figured it wasn’t for me, so I passed it along!”

“I Can See Clearly Now”

Illus. Does anyone remember the lyrics to the song Johny Nash made popular?
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Psalms 65:11 NKJ
11 You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.

Did you ever notice something and it seems so suddenly new, only to discover that it’s always been there. The only thing different is, that you finally became aware of it.

It’s kind of like that we you finally become aware of how much Love, God has for you! Because when you do, you suddenly become aware of how good He is to His children.

When I read a verse like this and I think of all the things that God has done
for me personally and still God tells me that He wants to do more.

I’m constantly encouraged, because I know that no matter what, God has good things in store for me and the my cup continually runs over.

Still Others will look at a verse like this and say the exact opposite.

As we go through life, most of us find ourselves in two different states of mind. Either were on top of the world and things are going great for us. Or were down in the valley and things aren’t going the way we like them to go, or
they could certainly be better to say the least.

The first state of mind, we know exactly where God is and what He’s been up to…because we see the results and it’s easy to speak life to our situation, because life is good!

The second state of mind, we are quick to forget….we think God is no where to be found, because the results we are longing for we think are so far from happening, and we have a hard to time speaking life to our situation…because it seems as though life is being removed from our situation, right before our eyes.

Let me ask you, what are you expecting? What’s coming out of your mouth? Are you speaking words of life over your situation? Have you forgotten God is a God of suddenly moments, God is a God of right now possibilities?

2 Kings 7:1-2 MSG

Elisha said, “Listen! God’s word! The famine’s over. This time tomorrow food will be plentiful—a handful of meal for a shekel; two handfuls of grain for a shekel. The market at the city gate will be buzzing.”
2 The attendant on whom the king leaned for support said to the Holy Man, “You expect us to believe that? Trapdoors opening in the sky and food tumbling out?”
“You’ll watch it with your own eyes,” he said, “but you will not eat so much as a mouthful!”

Sometimes we listen with our ears, but we’re not hearing the word God is sending and giving to us with our Heart!

TBS. (the Bible says) we are to establish our faith in God’s Possibilities in our heart, not our head

TBS. Whether a person realizes or not. You are snared by the words that
Come out of your mouth. Which means, sooner or later what comes out
of your mouth is what comes into your life!

Each and everyday, everyone of us make a choice. Either our cup is
running over or its running out, we are the decider!

2 Kings 7:3-4 MSG
3-4 It happened that four lepers were sitting just outside the city gate. They said to one another, “What are we doing sitting here at death’s door? If we enter the famine-struck city we’ll die; if we stay here we’ll die. So let’s take our chances in the camp of Aram and throw ourselves on their mercy. If they receive us we’ll live, if they kill us we’ll die. We’ve got nothing to lose.”

God is bigger then that, God is bigger than any of life’s circumstances, no matter what they are!

If I’m faced with a life threatening situation, I’m going to choose to believe God’s Word! His word says you
shall live and not die! His word says by Jesus stripes I have been healed!

Joshua 24:15 MSG
15 “If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”

Whether it’s your own thinking, your circumstance, the pain in your body,
your doctor, your family, or your friends. All those things are distractions and
take your focus off of what God can and wants to do in your life.

Joshua was telling them you can believe what you want, but as for me
and my house I’m going to believe God!

It may not look like things are working out right now, but I’m going to believe God!

Positive thoughts, bring about positive results!
Negative thoughts, bring about negative results.
What kind of results are you looking for in your life?

If your expecting positive results, when a deliverance word comes your way you should receive and embrace that Word with Amen…not “You expect us to believe that? Trapdoors opening in the sky and food tumbling out?”

TBS. Be cheerful no matter what happens.
You can either focus on the problems in life, or you can focus on the problem solver!
The question is: do you want more problems, or do you want more blessings?

Everyone wants more Blessings in life, for their prayers to be answered, for their needs to be met.

And you say, if I had more blessings and all my prayers answered, I would definitely be more happy, that would give me something to smile about.

Would that do it for you? You already have access to the abundant life God has promised you, are you participating?

TBS. to pray, or to praise Him all the time; to thank God no matter what happens.
This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.

If your living and constantly worried about what’s happening, or not happening
in your life, Because you think its something that you can control yourself.

I’ve got news for you and its not good, you never will experience all that God has for you! As long as you make about what you are capable of on your own!

Sometimes when you’re the one going through it…
you got to shake yourself and get a hold of the situation and realize!
Is what your doing..is that working out for you?

That’s what the lepers did, they may not have done the right thing, but at least they were willing to do something.

2 Kings 7-9 MSG
5-8 So after the sun went down they got up and went to the camp of Aram. When they got to the edge of the camp, surprise! Not a man in the camp! The Master had made the army of Aram hear the sound of horses and a mighty army on the march. They told one another, “The king of Israel hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to attack us!” Panicked, they ran for their lives through the darkness, babandoning tents, horses, donkeys—the whole camp just as it was—running for dear life. These four lepers entered the camp and went into a tent. First they ate and drank. Then they grabbed silver, gold, and clothing, and went off and hid it. They came back, entered another tent, and looted it, again hiding their plunder.

9 Finally they said to one another, “We shouldn’t be doing this! This is a day of good news and we’re making it into a private party! If we wait around until morning we’ll get caught and punished. Come on! Let’s go tell the news to the king’s palace!”

When you find yourself in the place of God’s abundance and blessing, you should know with confidence…there’s always more than enough to share! Human nature will tell you to get your portion, but God’s Word Declares there’s an abundance of enough for everyone who is willing to believe and receive!

Thing is, everyone is not always willing to!

2 Kings 7:10-12 MSG
10 So they went and called out at the city gate, telling what had happened: “We went to the camp of Aram and, surprise!—the place was deserted. Not a soul, not a sound! Horses and donkeys left tethered and tents abandoned just as they were.”

11-12 The gatekeepers got the word to the royal palace, giving them the whole story. Roused in the middle of the night, the king told his servants, “Let me tell you what Aram has done. They knew that we were starving, so they left camp and have hid in the field, thinking, ‘When they come out of the city, we’ll capture them alive and take the city.’”

Fear will keep you from doing a mountain of things, God’s Word has promised and declared all things are possible to him who is willing to believe!

Even with four first account witnesses, the King still was trusting and believing with his head, instead of his heart.
He knew God was a God of anything Possible, but like all of us even still today, he couldn’t believe God had done the impossible for him and his people!

2 Kings 7:13-15 MSG
One of his advisors answered, “Let some men go and take five of the horses left behind. The worst that can happen is no worse than what could happen to the whole city. Let’s send them and find out what’s happened.”

14 They took two chariots with horses. The king sent them after the army of Aram with the orders, “Scout them out; find out what happened.”

15 They went after them all the way to the Jordan. The whole way was strewn with clothes and equipment that Aram had dumped in their panicked flight. The scouts came back and reported to the king.

(King your not going to believe it, but it’s just as the lepers said. It’s all there for the taking, the opposing army has fled from their camp and theres not a soul to be found.)

2 Kings 7:16-20 MSG
16 The people then looted the camp of Aram. Food prices dropped overnight—a handful of meal for a shekel; two handfuls of grain for a shekel—God’s word to the letter!

17 The king ordered his attendant, the one he leaned on for support, to be in charge of the city gate. The people, turned into a mob, poured through the gate, trampling him to death. It was exactly what the Holy Man had said when the king had come to see him.

18-20 Every word of the Holy Man to the king—“A handful of meal for a shekel, two handfuls of grain for a shekel this time tomorrow in the gate of Samaria,” with the attendant’s sarcastic reply to the Holy Man, “You expect us to believe that? Trapdoors opening in the sky and food tumbling out?” followed by the response, “You’ll watch it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat so much as a mouthful”—proved true. The final stroke came when the people trampled the man to death at the city gate.

When God goes to the trouble and tells you He’s going to do something, don’t be like the attendant and declare your unbelief!
Receive that word, stand on that word, hold fast to that word and above all else, believe that Word!

For in that Word, your deliverance awaits and holds the key to your miracle! Amen

Hebrews 11:5-6 MSG
5-6 By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. “They looked all over and couldn’t find him because God had taken him.” We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken “he pleased God.” It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

That means, no matter what you are facing today, no matter
what’s going on in the world around you,

*no matter what anybody says, friends or foes
*no matter what the media says,
*no matter what the economic advisors say,
*no matter your doctor is saying,
*no matter what your family is saying,
*no matter what your body is saying

Will you always feel like singing a praise song to God?

When you get the news and the challenge you are sitting there facing, is like a mountain parked on your front door step, You probably won’t feel all that much
like singing anything but the blues,

Part of the 23rd Psalm goes like this; yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil!

That means even though you’re walking through it…your still walking
Your moving out of it,
Your not setting up camp,
Your not going to build a house there,
It may seem like a large village, but let me tell you it still has boundaries!
Every situation has a enter and exit sign!

You don’’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to
celebrate what God is going to do in your life. Because if you do, you never will!

When you don’t feel like praising Him, that’s when you need to praise Him the most, (repeat)

That’s were you faith gets stronger, when you praise Him in spite of your circumstances!

Nobody else, can touch God for your need, they can’t go where you need to go..
They can’t receive what you need either, only you can do it.

TBS. That God in habit’s the praises of His people, there is no closer form of communication than praise and worship!

Everyone always looks at Praise and Worship differently when they have a need, bigger than what they are capable of!

There is no better way, or time to ask Him to meet your needs, then when you praise Him!!!

John 16:23-24 MSG.
23-24. “This is what I want you to do: Ask the Father for whatever is in keeping with the things I’ve revealed to you. Ask in my name, according to my will, and he’ll most certainly give it to you. Your joy will be a river overflowing its banks!

You see, As long as you think, someone else can fix your problems, it still makes it about what your capable of, instead of what only God can do about your situation!

God has done the miraculous for all of us in the past, He wants you to know there are still new amazing moments in your future too!

*Are you ready to confuse the enemy? Let your faith arise!
*Are you ready for a suddenly moment? Stand on your faith!
*Are you ready to get back what the enemy stole and continues to try to steal from you?
Exercise your faith!

TBS. He who started a work in you, will be faithful to complete it!
Praise is putting action behind your faith. In the middle of your situation or tough time,

Stop seeing yourself in the, What’s wrong with you Line!
And start seeing yourself in the, everything’s great with me line, Praise God!!

Start making a list of who you’re going to invite to your,
Look what the Lord has Done, victory celebration.

God already provided everything we would ever need, when He sent
His Son into this world,
*Every trial we face, has been provided for
*Every obstacle we come up against, has been defeated
*Every need that will ever arise, God has abundantly supplied the provision to
adequately not only meet, but to exceed that need!
*Every ache and pain, has been Healed…for Jesus already paid our debt,
He gave His life and has overcome the world,

All we have to do is have the faith to believe that He did,
And that He willingly did it for us.

MSG. says it this way
1st John 5:4-5
Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.

Believe Jesus for your need today,
You have everything He has available to Him,

because of the relationship you have with Him, He has qualified you and made you worthy to receive the grace He extends to you!

Receive it, don’t let it pass you by,
Receive it, Receive it, Receive what has been given to you.

Have you heard the good news?

Have you heard any good news lately?

Illus. Paul Fritz
A famous Methodist evangelist named Peter Cartwright was known for his uncompromising preaching. However, one day when the President of the United States, Andrew Jackson, “Old rough and ready,” came to Cartwright’s church, the elders warned the Pastor not to offend the President. In those days, the President had great power to influence a denomination for good or bad. Content, that their Pastor would not say anything to discredit their church, the elders retired to the back of the sanctuary.

When Cartwright got up to speak, the first words out of his mouth were, “I understand that President Andrew Jackson is here this morning. I have been requested to be very guarded in my remarks. Let me say this: “Andrew Jackson will go to hell if doesn’t repent of his sin!” The entire congregation gasped with shock at Cartwright’s boldness. How could this young preacher dare to offend the tough old general in public, they wondered.

After the service, everyone wondered how the President would respond to Cartwright. When Andrew Jackson met the preacher at the door he looked at him in the eye and said, “Sir, If I had a regiment of men like you, I could conquer the world!”

I’m sure almost all of the church members left there that day, shared the story they had witnessed. But I wonder if they ever had the courage, or made it a priority, to share the gospel like the pastor did that day?

Political correctness has caused a lot of Christians to do just as a pilot would do, if he wanted to go to back of the plane, in the process of flying…he would flip the autopilot switch.

To many Christians have an autopilot relationship with Jesus nowadays. They only check the status of their relationship when a crises arises, a miracle is needed, or Christmas and Easter comes around.

As I shared last week, the other side of the entrance doors to this building, is the mission field, this building is not the church, “You Are!”

While this is a very nice and beautiful facility. This church will never have the courage, or ever have the opportunity to tell a president, or anyone else what they need to hear, concerning what awaits us all, when this life is over!

1ST Cor. 15:1-6 MSG.
1-2. Friends, let me go over the Message with you one final time— this Message that I proclaimed and that you made your own; this Message on which you took your stand and by which your life has been saved. (I’m assuming, now, that your belief was the real thing and not a passing fancy, that you’re in this for good and holding fast.)
3-4. The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that he was buried; that he was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says;

Sharing the Gospel, should be as easy as 123, like telling someone your name,

Contrary to what some may think or say, Jesus already did the hard part, He fulfilled every promise in scripture, amazingly conquered both sin and death,

And we still somehow make it seem like we have the harder part of the equation to do, by just telling the story of it all.

*The miracle of His Birth…He was born of a virgin
*The miracle of His Life and Ministry…He did good to all, ministered too and healed all who believed
* The miracle of His Resurrection…He introduced the way of Relationship to His Father, through Grace and forgiveness!

It really is that simple, God didn‘t make it hard to understand or share!
If you are willing to believe and accept, the simple message of what I just shared, Jesus will have a home awaiting you in Heaven, when you arrive!

He made it simple enough that a child can understand it and accept it, then turn around and tell someone else about it.

What’s the first song a little child learns when they come to church?

Jesus loves me, this I know
For the bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak, but He is strong!

I still love to sing that song to this day!
That’s really what the gospel message is all about, isn’t?

Jesus Loves Me! He loves you too! And there’s enough room in His heart for every man, woman and child…that will ever walk this earth.

If its really that simple to share and understand,
Then why aren’t more people sharing the gospel?

Because if more people were, church’s all across America would have a lot less empty seats in them.

We share everything else, don’t we? Anyone familiar with facebook? Pinterest? What ever we want to know we can ask Siri, can’t we? But when I asked Siri, who is the most important person to know in the universe, the one word answer eluded Siri.

Siri should have said Jesus, what Siri said was nothing!

Most people, including the one who is programmed to have all the answers, I guess don’t consider sharing the name of Jesus and the gospel nowadays, a serious issue.

TBS. in Prov. 11:30 NKJ
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And he who wins souls is wise.

And yet statistics show 90 to 95% of Christians never share the gospel.
How can the gospel, be important enough to know, but not important enough to share?

The last time I checked the Gospel was inclusive, not exclusive!

Jesus gave the Great Commission in Mark 16:15 NKJ

15. And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

You see, a lot of people think that is the preachers job, or the church staff, or the TV preacher, or the missionaries, or someone else’s, anyone but their’s.

If sharing the Gospel is everyone else’s job, then it probably would never get shared to much, would it? That’s why Jesus commissioned everyone, and made sharing His good news everyone’s responsibility!

Romans 10:13-14 HCSB.
13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
14 But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?

The Great Commission, we just read a minute ago and it says, we are to
Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

The great commission, is not a wish or a suggestion; its Jesus marching orders for every believer. Its been the standing order for 2,000 yrs. And still hasn’t changed.

Religion would have you believe the, “If you build it they will come”

Were not talking about a make believe ball park somewhere in some movie,
were talking about eternity, and a relationship with the creator of the universe,

There is no building, however nice it is, how ever big it is, going to win someone to Christ!

Jesus knew how important it would be to share His Life Changing Grace and Favor message with the world, that’s why He left it open ended, go, go and keep on going!

Luke 14:16-23 NKJ
16. Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many,
17. and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’
18. But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’
19. And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’
20. Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’
21. So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’
22. And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’
23. Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Paul said to do whatever it takes to compel others the the message of Christ!

1 Corinthians 9:19-23 MSG
19-23 Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralized—whoever. I didn’t take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christ—but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!

In the book, “Questions of Life” by Nicky Gumbel, He wrote.

Albert McMakin was a 24-year-old farmer who came to faith in Christ in 1934.
He was so full of enthusiasm that he filled a truck with people and took them to a meeting to hear about Jesus.

There was a good-looking farmer’s son whom he was especially keen to get to a meeting, but this man was hard to persuade.

He was too busy falling in and out of love with different girls.
He did not seem to be attracted to Christianity at all. Eventually, Albert McMakin managed to persuade him to come by asking him to drive the truck.

When they arrived, Albert’s guest decided to go in and was “spellbound” and began to have thoughts that he had never known before. He went back night after night until one night he went forward and gave his life to Jesus Christ.

Since then, the young truck driver has spoken to at least 250 million people about Christ during his lifetime, and went on to become a spiritual advisor to nine US Presidents.

The young truck driver was, of course, Billy Graham.

While we are not all called to be Billy Grahams, we can all be Albert McMakins, bringing our friends to Jesus.

Sharing our faith with others, is part of our worship and our faith building experience.

Hebrews 11:6 NKJ
6. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

While I can think of many rewards, there is no greater reward than leading someone to Christ. Bringing someone to Jesus wonderful gift of salvation, is the best gift of all

Because it is a gift, that keeps on giving as long as you re-gift the gift into someone else’s life.

So many people, enjoy the benefit of what they have received, but never share it with others. While that ensures their salvation, it doesn’t anyone else’s.

TBS. We shall be known by our fruit

Hebrews 13:16 MSG.
16. Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that take place in kitchens and in the workplace and on the streets.

I’ve shared this before,
Billy Graham was to have once said, it takes 28 times or points of contact, for someone to be approached about the gospel, before they come to salvation.
The first one thinks that they did nothing and the last one thinks that they did it all.

Whether you sow a seed, or are the one who provides water, or have the opportunity to lead someone through the sinners prayer, to Christ

All are equally important, all will share in the reward and one day lay that reward down at the feet of Jesus.

1st Cor. 3:5-9 MSG.
5-9. Who do you think Paul is, anyway? Or Apollos, for that matter? Servants, both of us—servants who waited on you as you gradually learned to entrust your lives to our mutual Master. We each carried out our servant assignment. I planted the seed, Apollos watered the plants, but God made you grow. It’s not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the center of this process but God, who makes things grow. Planting and watering are menial servant jobs at minimum wages. What makes them worth doing is the God we are serving. You happen to be God’s field in which we are working.

I’ll close with this

In Gipsy Smith’s book The Beauty of Jesus.

Gipsy Smith told about Peter Apples, a man (during the Civil War) who went into the enemy’s territory.

Peter Apples did not know much about being a good soldier. He just knew that when his superior officer said, “Charge!” he was supposed to go.

And he was the kind of man who never came back until he made contact with the enemy.

One day his officer said, “Charge!” and Peter Apples charged.

But they came under such severe fire that the superior officer asked them to retreat, to come back.

Peter Apples didn’t hear that, so he kept going, he went across “No-Man’s Land” and finally into the enemy’s territory.

He went down in a ditch where the enemy soldiers were lined up one behind the other,

He took hold of the first one in the ditch, grabbed him by the nape of the neck, drug him out and started back toward home with him.

The enemy soldiers took aim and started to shoot, but since their own soldier was being dragged behind Peter Apples, they couldn’t fire.

About the time they thought they had a shot, their own soldier would get in the way again.

Peter Apples continued to travel with the soldier, finally he dragged him across “No-Man’s Land” and back into his own territory and dropped him at the feet of his superior officer.

The officer looked at him, took a deep breath, and said, “Where in the world did you get him from?”

He answered, “I got him over there in the ditch.

There’s plenty of them over there, and all of you could have had one if you had wanted one.” (Soul Winning: Every Christian’s Job, Dr. Curtis Hutson)

John 4:34-42 MSG
34-35 Jesus said, “The food that keeps me going is that I do the will of the One who sent me, finishing the work he started. As you look around right now, wouldn’t you say that in about four months it will be time to harvest? Well, I’m telling you to open your eyes and take a good look at what’s right in front of you. These Samaritan fields are ripe. It’s harvest time!

36-38 “The Harvester isn’t waiting. He’s taking his pay, gathering in this grain that’s ripe for eternal life. Now the Sower is arm in arm with the Harvester, triumphant. That’s the truth of the saying, ‘This one sows, that one harvests.’ I sent you to harvest a field you never worked. Without lifting a finger, you have walked in on a field worked long and hard by others.”

39-42 Many of the Samaritans from that village committed themselves to him because of the woman’s witness: “He knew all about the things I did. He knows me inside and out!” They asked him to stay on, so Jesus stayed two days. A lot more people entrusted their lives to him when they heard what he had to say. They said to the woman, “We’re no longer taking this on your say-so. We’ve heard it for ourselves and know it for sure. He’s the Savior of the world!”

(“Many of the Samaritans from that village committed themselves to him because of the woman’s witness”)

I saw a sign on a building here in town, that asked the question “what will your legacy be?” A question that certainly causes oneself to look deep within!

Of all the things we do in this life, the only thing that really matters, is what we do for the Kingdom of God.

All the other things will fade away, but what we do for Jesus, will live on forever! Amen?

Tell someone about Him today, and however you tell them, really doesn’t matter.
Just remember to somehow weave Jesus into your conversation, and let Him lead you to the cross!

Believe and see the Glory of God!

Believe and see the Glory of God!

Illus. Waiting for you, By sermon central.
A family was out vacationing at the lake one summer. Dad had been puttering out by the boat house. Two of his sons, a 12-year old and a 3-year old were down playing along the dock. The 12 year old was supposed to be watching his little brother, but he got distracted. The 3 year old, little Billy, thought that would be a good time to check out the shiny aluminum fishing boat tied up at the end of the dock. So he went to the dock and put one foot on the boat, and one foot on the dock. He lost his balance and fell into the water, which was about 5 or 6 ft deep.

The splash alerted the 12-yr old who let out a piercing scream. Dad came running from the boat house, jumped into the water, swam down, but unable to see anything, came up for air. Sick with panic, he went right back down into this murky water, and began to feel everywhere around the bottom. He couldn’t feel anything. Finally, on his way up, he felt little Billy’s arms locked in a death grip on one of the posts of the dock, about 4 ft under water. Prying the boy’s fingers loose, they burst up together thru the surface to fill their lungs with life giving air.

Finally when the adrenaline had stopped surging, and nerves had calmed down a little bit, the Father asked his son, “What on earth were you doing down there hanging onto the post so far under the water? And little Billy’s answer was a classic, laced with the wisdom only a toddler could give. He said, “I was just waiting for you dad. Just waiting for you.”

John 11:40-44 MSG
40 Jesus looked her in the eye. “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

41-42 Then, to the others, “Go ahead, take away the stone.”

They removed the stone. Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and prayed, “Father, I’m grateful that you have listened to me. I know you always do listen, but on account of this crowd standing here I’ve spoken so that they might believe that you sent me.”

43-44 Then he shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” And he came out, a cadaver, wrapped from head to toe, and with a kerchief over his face.

Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him loose.”

Just a guess and purely conjecture, but I imagine if Jesus would’ve ask Lazarus what he had been doing, he would’ve have said waiting for you Lord, just waiting for you!

When we are in search of a miracle, who’s glory are we seeking our miracle for? Ourselves, or the ones we’re praying for?
When we receive the miracle, we are definitely the beneficiary aren’t we? Wether we’re the ones praying or receiving, we are the beneficiaries! But after the mountains been pushed into the sea and disappears, what happens to the glory?

Jesus could have easily spoken the miracle into existence and received all the glory, but He chose instead to glorify His Father! All the glory for everything good that is done for us and on our behalf, belongs to God and no one else!

Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27 and Luke 18:27 said exact same thing, so it was something He definitely wanted all of us to know!

TBS Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

The same God,
*who parted the Red Sea,
*rained manna from heaven,
*caused the walls of Jericho to fall, with a trumpet and a shout,
*healed the sick, by the thousands
*raised the dead on many occasions,
*caused not one hair on the head of Shadrach, Meshack and Abindego to be singed even though the ones who threw them into the fiery furnace were consumed by the flames!
*who still performs miracles today, on a regular basis if you can and will believe!!

TBS(the Bible says) and we have established God is a miracle working God!
TBS also that His words are true and are not subject to change!

Matthew 24:32-35 MSG
32-35 “Take a lesson from the fig tree. From the moment you notice its buds form, the merest hint of green, you know summer’s just around the corner. So it is with you: When you see all these things, you’ll know he’s at the door. Don’t take this lightly. I’m not just saying this for some future generation, but for all of you. ( this is good, I want you to say this is for me )This age continues until all these things take place. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won’t wear out.

Gods word remains true till the end and does not change! So what Gods word declares for you, you can surely have and are entitled to receive RIGHT??

Then why do some Christians doubt that God wants to work a miracle for them today.

They believe that there are miracles performed today, but that they are not for them.
Whatever there reasoning is, its based on a lie, from the father of all lies! And as long as someone
believes the lie, it stands between them and the Glory of God!

We read earlier…Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?

They may say they not worthy. If you’re a Christian, Jesus makes you worthy, He is your worthiness!

The devil is clever and there are many spins to his lie. But Whatever they can come up with, as to why Healing is not for them, is in no way a match for the cross and the finished work of Our Lord and Savior Jesus!

Whatever they think it is that unqualifies them, Jesus has already prequalified them in advance,
In fact He over qualified them and still to this day continues to over qualify all of us!

All we have to do is let what He already did, take care of what we have already been set free from.

Oh there are a lot of Christians that talk a good game and we have all been guilty of it! They come to church regularly, know their bible pretty good, hear the word and say all the right things Christians are suppose to say,

Its like they go to a great feast, have the finest table spread and a seven course meal of all meals set before them,
They see it right there in front of them, they can even almost smell the aroma from it, but they never partake of the meal!

They go away empty handed every time, They don’t even ask for a doggie bag for later, in case they change their mind.

Oh they talk about how everything will be perfect one day in the sweet by and by.
“When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be,” and it will be, but we don’t have to wait
until we get to Heaven to experience the goodness and the unmerited favor of God.

God wants us to know that He is still the God of miracles today. This is the way God wants you who belong
to Christ Jesus to live. He doesn’t want you living the way the world lives, which is in fear!

If your living and constantly worried about what’s happening, or not happening in your life,
Because you think its something that you can control yourself, I’ve got news for you and its not good!

As long as you make about what you are capable of on your own!
You never will experience all that God has for you!

You see, no one has a hard time praising God, no matter what’s happening, as long as they like, what it is that’s happening to them. That’s not where the Glory of God is going to be found!

Its found, when your able to praise and thank Him in the midst of the storm and thank God no matter what happens, or what the outcome is! That’s where it’s found and that’s the way, God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.

Because He knows when you live there, when your in relationship with His Son Jesus, your in the safety zone under His umbrella of protection!

And no matter what comes your way, your not going to budge, your not going to be dissuaded,
you will trust Him that He will take care of it, regardless of what it is!

That means, no matter what you are facing today, no matter what’s going on in the world around you,

*no matter what anybody says, friends or foes
*no matter what the media says,
*no matter what the economic advisors say,
*no matter your doctor is saying,
*no matter what your family is saying,

you should always be thanking and praising God, because the victory has already be won and
the blood of Jesus has already made us victorious over every situation!

Jerm. 17:7-8 NKJ
7. “ Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
And whose hope is the LORD.
8. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

I shall not be, I shall not be moved
I shall not be, I shall not be moved
Just like a tree that’s planted by the water’s, I shall not be moved!

Christians have been singing about the answers, that their in need of for years and years,
And at some point, one has to ask themselves, do I really believe what I have heard and sang about for years and years?

Or is it just words on a piece of paper?

Will you always feel like singing a praise song to God? When you get the news and the challenge you are sitting there facing, is like a mountain parked on your front door step. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that you’re probably not gonna feel like singing, but what I’m going to tell you to do is sing anyways.

Sing the praises of God louder than you ever have before! Sing them out in confidence, knowing that Philippians 1:6 was written just for you, with one reason in mind. So you could be an OVERCOMER!! Amen? Amen??

TBS. Phil. 1:6 HCSB
I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

I don’t know about you, but there is great comfort to be found in that word, that’s a word that you can stand on:

*when the going gets tough
*when trouble is knocking relentlessly on your door
*when everyone around you says your facing an impossible situation
*when you’ve done all you know to do and don’t know what to do kind of word!

If you will believe, God will keep working in your life until there’s nothing more to do and He has completed His work in you.

TBS He will not leave you, or forsake you, you are not just a stepchild in the family, you have been adopted,
you have become an heir, you are a child of the Most High God, you have the right to call Him, Daddy.
He will stick by you through thick or thin. He will never leave you, He will sustain you and keep you.

TBS. also and I’m so glad it does, that we are healed by Gods grace.

Isaiah 53:5 NKJ
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Psalms 147:3 NKJ
“He(God) heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.”

Only God can take what’s crooked and make it straight, what’s wrong and make it right.
He can take the scattered pieces of life’s puzzle, when it makes no sense at all and put them back together. He is Amazing
God is in the healing business and He heals us by His grace, He loves to say “ I Will.”

What does God love to say? I will…and He will remember, “with man nothing is possible, but with God all things are possible!”

Speak to your mountain, don’t spend all your time trying to run around it, proclaim the word of God over it and He will make it go around you instead!

Mark 11:21-25 MSG.

22-25. Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.”

Did you know there is healing to be found for you, in the forgiveness of others?

When you finally and truly realize, what this is talking about, that is available to all of us who have accepted Jesus and the Grace message He gave us. It is a life changing, game changing, turn your world upside down, inside out experience!

The same power and Glory that brought down the walls of the heavily fortified city of Jericho with the blast of a trumpet and a shout, you have access to. Praise God!

*The same power that parted the red sea, *that fed the 5k,
*that healed the woman with the issue of blood,
*that helped bring down Goliath,
*that not just created, but spoke the world into existence!

You have access to that power!! Praise God!! Your relationship with Jesus is what gives you access
to the Power and Glory of God! If that, DON’T MAKE YOU WANT TO SHOUT, then nothing ever will.

So many Christians never really realize how they can put the Word of God to work in their lives,
You can reign over every situation and obstacle in your life, instead of being held prisoner by them!!

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, with God’s help and He wants you to know, that you are in charge of your circumstances!

Your circumstances are not in charge of you, you can take authority over your
mountains and make elevated unlimited opportunities out of them, every time you
See one of them coming down the road!! Amen?

Start speaking God’s word to your situations and to the ones around you. Your family, your friends
and the ones you see happening in your everyday travels, who need someone to speak life changing
words into their situation.

Quit telling the accuser everything that’s wrong in your life and start proclaiming everything that’s right instead!

If Jesus is…the Lord of your life, He’s the greatest thing that’s right in your life and the one thing that will help you continually overcome everything that’s wrong, that will ever try to come into your life!

If you don’t know Jesus today in your life, you can. It’s easy just repeat these words.
Jesus forgive me, come into my life, I believe you died for me and that you rose again from the grave!

If your relationships not were it should be today, it can be. Jesus will meet you right we’re you are and warmly embrace and walk hand in hand with you all along the way, from now till eternity!

If you have need of a miracle today, believe and see the Glory of God work in your life!

All things are possible to him that believes!

It’s about time!

This is my first post, and I must admit I have somewhat procrastinated writing this, for some time. So it’s quite appropriate, time would be the subject.

Is it just me, or have you noticed how little time there is now a days. I’m sure you’ve heard more than one person say, boy, where has this year gone?

And that’s the truth of it, isn’t it? Where has the time gone, so much to do, so little time to complete the task, we take on.

Technology has gone totally crazy, new gadgets come on the market before we have even figured out everything the old ones can do. With the new smart phones, we want unlimited data. But sadly with unlimited data, comes but yet, more theft of our time.

Everywhere you look, and you don’t have to go far, everyone is on their communication device, only their not actually communicating.

Did you know, God has always had the original unlimited data plan? Anytime, any place, anyway you want to communicate with Him, He is accessible 24/7.

With God, we have unlimited access, but choose to limit the time we give and spend with Him. We come to church, or maybe give God 1-2 hrs. out of a 168 hr. week, but yet expect amazing results and blessings (as if we had spent all our time with Him) for the minimal time we do spend.

If there ever was a minimum investment, with maximum results, our relationship with God, would be the gold standard of investments. God gives so much to us, and in comparison we give so little in return! Makes you think twice, about the saying, the more you put into a relationship, the more you will get out of a relationship!

As we think about what lies ahead for us, the trials, testing, and tasks we face, both in our church’s and personal lives, often we become enamored with the daily things, and that’s just what they are, things!

They are time stealers! They come and they go and sooner or later, everyone comes to the realization that, this to shall soon pass. Call it what you want, I call it drama and Gods people, really shouldn’t have so much drama, but you see…..

The accuser will use whatever he can, to keep you occupied with life, so you will forget what matters the most, which is your time with God!

Do you notice the key word here, you become occupied, you will this, you can do that, you, you, you. Most times the blame really shouldn’t be put on the accuser, it should be put on (ouch) us!

We like to think our capabilities can deliver the grand life, we’re looking to live, but if that were the truth, more people would walk around saying with conviction, “it’s a Wonderful Life”

Have you ever noticed how many unhappy people there are in the world, how they think everyone and everything owes them what they Want! They don’t like the way they look, or the clothes they have, or the car they drive, etc. etc. etc. Everytime they begin to describe happiness, their description begins with if only this, or this only that. Happiness, sadly and I hate to be the one to break the news to you, is not found in things.

We become disheartened, because sometimes we feel we have little to offer and what lies ahead is too great.

The Word, tells us God will use what we have, in a great way if we will let Him. After all, if God can move a mountain with only a mustard size portion of our faith, how much more can He do for us, if we will willingly, give Him what we really have to work with!

If we are willing to put our little into Gods hands, what we have is not limited to our capabilities anymore. Our portion, is not limited at all, when we place what we have into the hands of the one who doesn’t even have the word impossible, in His vocabulary!

Impossible, with your faith in God’s abilities, becomes I’m Possible. And you are, not because I’ve declared this to be true, but God’s Word has. TBS (the Bible says) with God, “all things are possible!”

So I encourage you, to give your all to the One who makes your way for your-every waking moment. Scandalous God inspired, breathe taking moments are waiting for your arrival.
